7/24/2017SARAJEVO, BIH - BH Telecom d.d. Sarajevo and Zemana d.o.o. Sarajevo today signed a Partnership Agreement in Sarajevo aimed at raising awareness on digital security and providing cyber security solutions to all users of the BH Telecom network.
The fact that technology has completely changed today's lifestyle in all its spheres, is evident in the fact that a good part of our everyday life takes place in the digital world. However, this fact is making space to great possibilities of abuse and affects the growth of cybercrime in the world, as well as in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
More than 4000 ransomware attacks occur every day, and every day in the cyber world appears more than 1 million new malicious programs and last year alone, the percentage of cyber criminal activities rose from 67% to 72%.
The “Going 100 % Safe Digital” campaign offers a unique opportunity to users of BH Telecom services to perform their daily online activities, such as using e-mail, sending and using private data, using online banking and various other online activities, in “Safe mode” by protecting themselves from potential hacking attacks, malicious programs, online fraud and other online infections that are able to retrieve private information, personal passwords, online identity, and other essential information.
Executive Director for Technology and Service Development and Member of the Management Board of BH Telecom, Dr. Tarik Caršimamović, on this occasion, stated:
“We are pleased to introduce a new set of products in BH Telecom, which will, in cooperation with the partner company Zemana from Sarajevo through a secure and advanced platform of BH Telecom, enable our users the latest solutions in the field of antivirus online protection of the renowned brand Zemana, starting from 01/08/2017. The project of antivirus online protection that we develop with our partners in BiH is part of a range of projects where BH Telecom is working intensively in order to improve the entire set of services for its users in its strategic way of maintaining and strengthening the leadership position of BH Telecom in the telecommunications market. Our goal is to enable users of our services to provide adequate protection for the safe use of our services, not limited to only one brand, so today we offer our users a wide range of antivirus online products, in accordance with their needs and opportunities.”
On that occasion, the Executive Director for Business Development and member of the Management Board of BH Telecom Prof. Dr. Duljko Hasić, whose department carried this project out, stressed:
“Licensed antivirus protection is well known in the world and is part of user's daily life, both business and home users, but in our country it represents a segment which requires more intense work, especially in the domain of raising people's awareness of the need to possess antivirus, antispy and antimalware protection, whereby users worldwide in developed telecommunications markets have already been introduced to these phenomena and used to it.Today's partnership agreement with Zemana additionally expands the possibility to our esteemed customers to choose customized type and level of protection for themselves and their youngest ones, in accordance with their needs” said Mr. Hasic.
